I'll be out of the office for the next 3+ weeks - should be back on June 28 if all goes well. I tried to change my voicemail message today to warn people that I won't be able to check messages for a while, but couldn't remember how to change the silly message. I should be more embarrassed about that than I am - I hate using the phone to begin with, and there are better/more efficient ways to get in touch with me.
In the slim chance that anyone who would attempt to leave voicemail (how quaint) might also be a reader of the blog... I'm not ignoring you. Well, I am, but it's not personal - everyone gets ignored equally. I'm deliberately not setting an email vacation-auto-reply because they're dumb, and frigging annoying, and I'll be checking email anyways.
I also had the strange experience of packing up my office today. Everything is in boxes, and all the pictures are off the wall - I even took photos of the whiteboards Just In Case™. They're hopefully starting renovation on the LC space while I'm gone, so I should be coming back to a temporary cubicle hastily constructed in the former distance learning control centre (where the phone bridge had been set up since, well, forever? Dave mentioned that he found an invoice for The Beast that was dated 1984...). After that, the software development group will be moved into a new space (well, it's the old space, but with the pods rotated a few degrees or something. And my office torn down).
I'm not sure how much I'll be able to blog in the next few weeks. WWDC itself is pretty blacked out due to the NDA that's part of admission. I may blog some of the peripheral events, though (Stevenote, Apple Campus Bash, etc...). I'll likely be blogging like crazy during the NMC conference, and posting lots of photos to Flickr. If I'm blogging after June 19th, somebody please smack me. I'm hoping to take a week off (well, as much "off" as my growing infoaddiction will allow).
