SecondLife Avatars

It's always bugged me a bit that my SL avatar was a plain-vanilla human. I mean, here's this awesome metaverse, where the rules of physics don't apply, and you can change your appearance at will. And I was walking around, looking much like I do in real life. How creative and interesting. So, today while watching Stephen work his magic on a panel on SecondLife, in SecondLife (ooh. recursion!) Moved servers

There might be some downtime in the next little while as my blog migrates to a new server. Thanks Sami for the insanely generous offer! Things should be back soon. If you can read this, you're looking at the shiny new server at Etopian Global Hosting Headquarters.

My Life, My Blog, My So Called Diary

My Life, My Blog, My So Called Diary Originally uploaded by Looking For Fish Tacos At ELI 2006. Not sure if I can cross off one of my 43Things - which is to write a novel. Seriously, though - be sure to check out Alan Levine and Brian Lamb's latest wild and wacky presentation: Beyond The Blog....

Kids in the Hall Reunion Tour!

Boing Boing: Kids in the Hall staging reunion tour Kids in the Hall are/were the funniest comedy troupe on TV. Better than Saturday Night Live back in its heyday (and KitH coughed up funnier stuff than anything SNL has done in the last 20 years). Dammit. It's LA-only. That's hardly a tour, is it? davidicus, you'd darned well BETTER go to this thing so I can live vicariously through you! ;-)

Banner Images

This page lists all of the images that are being used in the banner area of this weblog. I'm using a script to automatically and randomly select one of the images each time a page is loaded (but that may behave differently, depending on browser or caching). They are listed in chronological order, in the order they were added to the rotation pool - not the order they were taken....

Colophon

This weblog runs on WordPress, with a metric boatload of plugins to make it dance. It is also using the awesome K2 theme by Michael at Binary Bonsai. Thanks, Michael! The banner images are automatically (and randomly) selected from a set of about 35 images (and counting) You can view them all in one place using the handy dandy image lister utility page, or click reload a whole lot. Plugins:...
