experimental RSS interface

experimental RSS interface

After a recent post by Terry Godier (and some responses from Brent Simmons and Dave Winer etc. on Mastodon), I started thinking about RSS interfaces. I’d REALLY appreciated Fever˚’s “Hot” view and wondered if it was possible to replicate something like that1. So I burned through a week’s worth of Antigravity Gemini tokens to build a prototype experimental app to try an idea for a different RSS interface. The app reads (a copy of) my NetNewsWire SQLite database, and uses a weighting algorithm to calculate a “score” to determine which posts are more interesting and/or relevant.

Anyway. There’s something there. I want to play more with weighting and designing a good algorithm. Then what? who knows.
