Week 26. Half way through 2021 already. Somebody slow this ride down a little…
And new cases of COVID are at the lowest level in just over a year. Wow.
⚙️ Work
Natasha, Patrick and I worked on a chapter for a nursing textbook last year (wait. it was in late 2019…), and just got word that it’s going to be available shortly. Chapter 7, Updating Traditional Classrooms, builds on much of what we learned after opening the Taylor Institute. Textbook publishing takes a lonnnnnnng time…

2 of our key vendors just partnered up for something about interactive course materials in online courses. Could be interesting - we haven’t done a lot of work with Top Hat’s content authoring tools, but it looks like it’s time to spin up a pilot project. I think that’ll be Pilot Project #4 so far…
We’re waiting for a Neat Board to be delivered. Looks like they’re upgrading it already with some new video processing:
🤔 PhD
Dissercation. Trying to unplug the work brain to give research brain some dedicated time.

🧺 Other
I went for an awesome solo mountain ride in Banff National Park between Banff and Castle, on highway 1A.
Looks like I’ll have to ride it again, but all the way to Lake Louise…
And I headed out to try climbing the hills on Lochend and Bearspaw. I made it.
